The Seven Limiting Beliefs
The Harmonic Linguistics framework maps seven core limiting beliefs that tend to form in early life. Most people carry one or two of these more strongly than the others. Here they are, each with a brief description and a link to a deeper exploration.
The conviction that something essential is missing — that love, success, or rest must be earned by finding or building what's absent.
The core wound of connection — the conviction that something intrinsic would, if truly seen, make genuine love impossible.
The quiet conviction that you lack the force to move your own life — that the world responds to others but not to you.
A near-constant, often unconscious perception of threat. The world feels unsafe to relax into.
The conviction that you do not deserve goodness — love, rest, pleasure, success. Receiving feels dangerous or undeserved.
The felt conviction that effort and outcome are not reliably connected — that life operates by forces indifferent to intention.
The prediction that all connection is temporary — that everyone you love will eventually leave.
